Summer Swim Team

Welcome Swimmers, The Kennett Area YMCA Summer Swim Team competes in the Suburban Swim League based out of Delaware. We compete against other country clubs, community pools and local YMCA teams. The summer swim team atmosphere is fun and relaxed and a great place for new swimmers to get their first taste of competitive swimming. We will need officials and scorers, as well as, parent volunteers for a variety of other jobs to make our meets run and our season successful. If you are interested in volunteering please see the contacts listed below. Remember, there is no experience necessary for any of our volunteer jobs and we can't run the season without parent volunteers! Please review the Summer Swim team schedule and important dates listed below. Summer swim meets are Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings. Please contact Head Coach, Angela Pietraniello at 610 444 9622, ext. 28 or by email apietraniello@ymcabwv.org with any questions or concerns. A team email distribution list will be created at the beginning of the season so if you’re not receiving regular emails from the team please email Angela ASAP! Summer Team Banquet – July 23th The summer team registration form can be downloaded below. Please note, swimmers must be members of the outdoor pool to join the summer swim team.
